Juneesha received a dire diagnosis, underwent brain surgery and open heart surgery and is unable to work while regaining her health.
The Solution…
Her groceries were only lasting for half of the each month. She turned to Action for Boston Community Development’s (ABCD) food delivery program, a partnership with Stop & Shop’s Peapod delivery service meant to supplement the Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits. She receives the nutritious food she needs while she heals to get her through the month.
