MASSCAP Advancing Citizens Energy Program to Help Low-Income People
MASSCAP is collaborating with Citizens Energy Corp. to ensure
that affordable heating
oil is available for the state's
most vulnerable populations.
MASSCAP is connecting needy individuals to a Citizens
Energy program that provides
low-cost heating oil to low-income
and working households that
also benefit from Federal fuel
assistance.
MASSCAP conducts outreach on the Citizens Energy program to
its 25 member agencies and
helps agency staff identify
individuals in the served communities
that would benefit from the
assistance. Citizens Energy is a non-profit company founded and
directed by Joe Kennedy. Its mission is to make life's basic needs
more accessible and affordable.
Low-Cost Heating Oil. The Oil Heat Program allows needy Bay State residents to purchase one-time deliveries of discount home heating oil. The program works through local fuel-assistance agencies.
