FY 2000 Massachusetts Budget Proposal: Language Related to the MASSCAP Family Development Program

Language in the Massachusetts Senate Committee on Ways and Means' Proposed Version of the FY 2001 Massachusetts Budget regarding the MASSCAP Family Development Program:

  • 4401-1002 For a contract with the Massachusetts Association for Community Action , Inc. for a one-year Family Development Self-Sufficiency Demonstration Program;
  • provided that said association shall implement said program by allocating funds to regional Community Action Agencies, so-called;
  • provided further, that funds from the item shall be spent exclusively on families receiving transitional aid to families with dependent children benefits and working families who meet the state definition of needy as defined in the state TANF plan;
  • provided further, that said association shall work with the Department of Transitional Assistance to ensure that expenditures meet federal requirements for Transitional Aid to Needy Families block grant assistance.........2,000,000
  • Transitional Aid to Needy Families Fund ....... 100%
